AcuMed Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic
Inheriting the medical traditions of the Six Dynasties, building contemporary health and wellness.
Jiankang: It is the old name of the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, with a long and rich history.
Jiankang: This is also the health vision we pursue together with you – to build a healthy and peaceful life, and to create a city of balanced body and mind.
Deeply rooted in medicine, inheriting the past and ushering in the present.
Jiankangtang originated from the Jinling School of Medicine, a long river of medical knowledge that traces back to the Six Dynasties and extends to modern times.
As early as the Southern Dynasties, Tao Hongjing's "Collected Annotations on the Materia Medica" in Jiankang City had already planted the seeds of wisdom for treating malaria with artemisia annua. A thousand years later, Nobel laureate Tu Youyou extracted artemisinin, saving millions of lives.
During the Republican era, Nanjing, as the capital, became home to a group of outstanding physicians. Among them, Zhang Jianzhai, known as the "Contemporary Physician," integrated ancient and modern knowledge and possessed exquisite diagnostic skills, pushing the clinical methods of the Jinling School of Medicine to new heights.
In modern times, Nanjing has cultivated many outstanding experts and teachers of traditional Chinese medicine throughout China, influencing the entire country.
What we are passing on is not only prescriptions and techniques, but also a medical spirit that is based on humanistic care and keeps pace with the times.

Deeply rooted in medicine, inheriting the past and ushering in the present.
The name " Jiankang" is both a historical symbol and a promise we make:
"Build" - We are willing to build health with you, through personalized diagnosis and treatment, to harmonize Yin and Yang and prevent diseases before they occur;
"Kang" – We pursue harmony of body and mind, from regulating Qi and blood to relieving emotional distress, helping you regain your inner balance and vitality.
Here, doctors are not only healers, but also companions on the path to health.
